Voluntary External Standards

ICL endorses and follows a variety of initiatives and quality management systems to improve and streamline processes and performance, as well as to reduce risks. The great majority of ICL’s production facilities are certified with ISO standards or with equivalent standards for environmental management, safety and quality. All major energy consuming sites are certified with the energy ISO standard. \

The standards and initiatives ICL implemented include, but are not limited to:

Quality Management- ISO 9001 or equivalent standard;
Environmental Management – ISO 14001, RC 14001 or equivalent standard;
Safety and Health Management – OHSAS 18001, ISO 45001 or equivalent standards;
Energy management- ISO 50001 – implemented at major energy consuming sites;
Food safety standards- for sites with products designated for the food industry;
GMP standards- for sites with products designated for the food and pharma industries;

ICL has also joined the Together for Sustainability (TfS) initiative, which conducts comprehensive assessments and external audits on sustainable practices of suppliers across the global supply chain of the chemical industry.

Sustainable Mining standard – ICL Iberia has successfully passed the audit for the certification of the UNE 22470 and 22480 standards, which accredit the Company as a sustainable mining company. Read more.

ICL has successfully adopted a voluntary code for anti-sexual harassment in the workplace led by the Israeli Standards Institute (MATI). This code establishes a higher standard than regional regulations against sexual harassment in Israel. ICL is the first industrial company in Israel to enact the voluntary code for employers against sexual harassment in the workplace
