Carbon Disclosure Project

For several years, ICL has been highly rated by the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) for the company's annual comprehensive report on the company's greenhouse gas balance and climate change strategy. The CDP, a global non-profit organization, has repeatedly recognized ICL’s high level of disclosure and performance. \

Since 2011, ICL has been reporting its emissions and efforts regarding climate change annually to the CDP, an independent non-profit organization dedicated to driving the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.  The CDP collects climate change and GHG related data from over 8,000 companies around the world, serving more than 500 investors holding $100 trillion in assets. The report includes a comprehensive breakdown of ICLs greenhouse gas emissions, reduction targets and initiatives, climate change related risks, opportunities and business strategy, participation in emission trading schemes, external verification and other related topics. See all ICL CDP reports in ‘Sustainability Reports’.

For its 2020 report, ICL received the second-best possible CDP ranking of “A-”, retaining previous year’s “A-” ranking. ICL’s 2020 score is tied for highest score among Israeli companies, and the company is tied for the highest score in its global fertilizer peer group. This achievement recognizes ICL’s advanced climate change management practices and successful endeavors to reduce GHG emissions.

ICL also received the score of “A”, in the CDP’s sub-ranking, the Supplier Engagement Rating (SER). The SER is based mostly on company efforts to increase awareness of climate change with their suppliers.

This achievement was mostly made possible due to the significant expansion in ICL’s sustainable procurement practices in recent years, and most notably ICL’s activity through the comprehensive TfS (Together For Sustainability) supplier engagement program.
