Code of Ethics

ICL’s Code of Ethics incorporates the core values of the Company and establishes appropriate ethical guidelines for employees at all levels and positions. The Code is global and uniform, and it serves as a framework and foundation for existing compliance programs with respect to Securities, International Trade, Anti-Bribery & Corruption, Fraud Prevention, Antitrust, Safety & Environmental Protection, Data Privacy, Anti-Harassment and Anti-Money Laundering. \

ICL’s Code of Ethics was adopted by the ICL Board of Directors, and it applies to the Board itself, leadership team, including ICL’s Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Controller and any other persons who performs similar functions, as well as all global ICL employees. 

The Code is based on a platform of six core values for the pursuit of long-term sustainable growth, and one core principle of obeying the law, regulations, professional rules, procedures and our compliance programs. The Code acts as a global guide that applies to all ICL Group companies, sites and employees throughout the world. All (100%) company employees must sign and agree to follow the Code of Ethics. ICL’s Business Partners who are required to follow ICL’s Code of Ethics core values must acknowledge the Code of Ethics. 

The most recently updated version of the code was released in 2021.

The code is communicated using the following methods:

  • Digital and printed copies of the code, in several languages, are available to employees and managers in all global regions where ICL operates.
  • Newly hired employees receive a hard copy as part of their entrance process.
  • The code is distributed to ICL suppliers and contractors.
  • Periodic computer-based and frontal training sessions regarding the code are conducted.
  • The code’s abstract and core values are physically published in ICL properties (through posters and roll-ups).

In 2020, approximately 70% of all ICL global employees and managers completed training regarding the Code of Ethics. This is a significant increase compared to last year.

ICL’s target is to increase annually the number of employees and managers that undertake training, and it anticipates a further increase in the percentage of employees completing the training.

The Code is currently available in 12 languages, including English, Hebrew, Chinese, Spanish, German, Dutch and others.
